How To Blow-Dry Short Hair?
A blow dryer is a girl’s best friend. Whether it’s about creating more volume or about taming those cowlicks and bangs, a blow dryer is your weapon of choice. However, things are not that simple for females with short hair.
Depending on the texture of your hair and other factors such as the weather, short hairstyles can really get unruly. One of the biggest issues with short hair is that it might fall flat making all the layers get fuzzy. Now, this highly undesirable and this is where you wish you could blow-dry it as easily as you can blow-dry long here.
So, here are some tips and tricks to help you create great volume and style for you short hair.
Start with a wash
Blow dry works best with properly washed and conditioned hair. Wash your hair with a volume shampoo and a surplus amount of conditioner.
Styling basics
It is always best to mix a small amount of styling cream with your styling gel in order to get the right hold and texture you require. Apply the mix in to the roots with your fingers, moving them towards the roots.
Dry in direction
Keep the blow dryer at medium heat and start drying the roots first. Hold a one inch section of your hair and twist it while keeping the airflow towards the roots. Work your way around the head, drying strand by strand in the same manner.
Brush it good
When the roots are dry, start styling your hair with a brush. Start from the top and style the hair at the front. Continue till all of the hair is dry.
Hold it right there
Seal the look with a quick spritz of your favorite hair spray. It will make it stay there for longer.
With proper blow drying techniques, you can easily pull off some of the hardest to manage, short yet trendy pixie hairstyles or short bobs as shown in this gallery.

How to manage short curly hair?
I have curly hair and before I knew how to handle my hair it seriously looked like an Afro. The biggest problem with curly hair is controlling those unruly curls and the frizz that comes with it. But it's not as difficult as it sounds.
First, never ever brush your hair while it's dry. This will cause your hair to frizz. Get yourself a big toothcomb to be used when in the shower. After washing your hair, apply conditioner and brush out all knots with the big toothcomb. Leave conditioner in for about two minutes and rinse. Wring excess water from your hair and wrap a towel around it for about two minutes. Take towel off and loosen your curls lightly with your fingers and apply gel. There are a lot of products on the market to control frizz, but I simply use gel and style it. I then let my hair dry naturally (it's short so it doesn't take very long), but you can use a blow drier on low or use a diffuser, then add hairspray to block humidity and add shine. Remember; try not to touch your hair as it causes the curls to frizz and loose shape.
If your hair has a medium curl but seems to flop towards the end of the day you can use a mousse, this will give extra volume to your hair and keep your curls tight all day.
The beauty about curly hair is that you can do so much with it and with all the available tools readily available it's never been easier. Short hair takes a lot less time to style than long hair, so you can have curly hair in the morning using a diffuser, dead straight hair in the afternoon using a flat iron and trendy wisps in the evening using flat iron or curling tong.
